Zac Freudenburg Cross

About the race

A cross-country race by Groningen student athletics club Vitalis at the Hoornseplas, named after former member and long-distance runner Zac Freudenburg. Start and finish are on the beach of the lake, and the course features classic cross-country elements: sand, grass, mud and a few hills. There is a small loop of 1400 metres and a large one of 1800 metres, both suitable for spikes. The programme begins at 11.45 am with the youngest children; the short cross is 3.6 kilometres and the long cross 8.6 kilometres.
