Solstice Ultra Netherlands

About the race

A timed race on the shortest day of the year, held for the first time in the Netherlands, following the Swiss example in Bern. You run from 8.15 am to 4.40 pm, the daylight hours of that day, laps of about 1 kilometre on the asphalt loop of the old trotting track in Groningen's Stadspark. Whoever completes the most laps wins; there is no time limit and no dropouts, since everyone who starts finishes. The field is deliberately small, around fifty runners, and the minimum age is 18. Registration via inschrijven.nl is possible until 1 December.
