How Runeira handles account data and Google sign-in
Runeira uses a small amount of necessary storage to keep the website working, such as sign-in sessions, language, theme and cookie choices. If you choose Continue with Google, Runeira only requests the basic Google identity data needed to sign you in or connect Google to your existing Runeira account. Runeira also uses Umami for simple website analytics for everyone, while linked analytics for signed-in visits only add a pseudonymous identifier after your permission. If Runeira later enables Google AdSense on supported public pages, Google can show its own privacy and messaging choices there.
In short: necessary storage is always on, Google sign-in only uses basic account identity data, Umami measures anonymous visits for everyone, linked signed-in analytics only start after optional consent, and Google ad consent is handled through a certified CMP on supported public pages.
Necessary storage
We use necessary cookies or local storage for the parts of Runeira that should keep working reliably.
- Sign-in sessions and account security
- Language and theme preference
- Your cookie choice and saved device preferences
Google sign-in
When you actively choose Google sign-in, Runeira requests the standard Google scopes openid, email and profile.
Data accessed
- Your Google account email address
- Whether Google marks that email address as verified
- Your Google profile name
- Your Google profile photo URL
- Your Google profile locale, if Google provides it
- A stable Google account identifier used to remember the linked sign-in method
How Runeira uses it
- Authenticate you when you choose Continue with Google
- Create a new Runeira account or connect Google to an existing Runeira account
- Confirm that the Google email address is verified before linking sign-in access
- Pre-fill your Runeira profile name, avatar and language when a new account is created
- Prevent duplicate or mismatched sign-in links on the wrong account
What Runeira stores
- Your Runeira account email address, name, avatar URL and preferred language if they are available
- A record that your Runeira account is linked to Google, based on Google's account identifier
- A short-lived security transaction cookie used during Google sign-in, with a maximum lifetime of 10 minutes
- Regular Runeira account session data after sign-in succeeds
What Runeira does not do
- Runeira does not store your Google password
- Runeira does not keep Google access tokens or refresh tokens after sign-in completes
- Runeira does not use Google user data to access Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Contacts or other Google services
- Runeira does not sell Google user data or share it with advertisers
- Runeira does not use Google user data to train generalized AI or ML models
Analytics
Runeira uses Umami for lightweight website analytics for everyone, including basic page and event measurement. If you allow linked analytics, signed-in visits can also receive a pseudonymous identifier without sharing your raw email address.
- Basic page views and button interactions may be measured
- General browser, device and country-level information may be included
- No advertising profiles and no exact location are used
- Signed-in visits only receive a pseudonymous Umami identifier after you explicitly allow linked analytics
- If Runeira later enables Google AdSense, ads can appear on supported public pages and Google can show its own privacy and messaging choices there
Your choices and other services
You can review the necessary cookie information at any time through the cookie settings dialog. If Runeira later shows Google ads on supported public pages, Google will manage the ad privacy and messaging choices shown there.
Some features can rely on third-party services, such as maps, sign-in providers or website analytics. When those services are used, their own technical processing and policies can also apply.
