Plantsoenloop Groningen

About the race

The Plantsoenloop is the oldest race in Groningen and an autumn classic in the north of the Netherlands. Start and finish are at the Kruissingel in the Noorderplantsoen park, close to the city centre; bib numbers are collected near the pond. The course winds through the rolling park, so expect short climbs and plenty of bends. Adults choose between 4 or 8 km, and earlier in the day there are Kids Runs over 1, 2 and 4 km for different age groups. The 8 km starts last, in the middle of the afternoon. There's timing and you receive a medal; the charity in 2026 is Vrienden Beatrix Kinderziekenhuis.
