Wisent Winter Trail

About the race

The Wisent Wintertrail closes the year with a trail race from Sportpark Orderbos in Apeldoorn, over four distances: 5, 8.5, 16 and 23 kilometres. Each route is a single lap. On the 8.5 kilometres the hardest part comes in the first three kilometres, with climbs such as the Topberg and stretches of false flat right after leaving the sports park. The 16 kilometres adds a loop towards Park Berg en Bos after seven kilometres, with more than two kilometres of continuous singletrack that is often wet. The 23 kilometres goes furthest into that terrain: singletrack, long false flat near the De Apenheul area, the stairs up to the viewing tower plateau and a circuit of the forest pond. The 5 kilometres eases off considerably after two kilometres.
