Waver Loopt is the annual village race of Onze-Lieve-Vrouw-Waver, traditionally held on the last Friday of August. The start and finish are at the WAVO primary school on the Vinkenhofstraat. The evening begins with the youngsters, first 400 metres for the smallest and then a kilometre for the older children, together with the G-Loop for participants with a disability. At ten past seven the 5 and the 10 kilometres set off; anyone who wants can enter both. The youth races and the G-Loop are free with advance registration. Changing rooms and showers are available at the Bruultjeshoek sports hall, and timing on the main distances is electronic.
