Strong Viking - Obstacle Run Hofstade is a muddy obstacle run on Tervuursesteenweg in Hofstade, in the municipality of Zemst. On Saturday 30 May 2026, every participant chooses their own challenge: 4 km Family or Beginning, 7 km Lightning, 13 km Warrior, 19 km Beast or 42 km Iron Viking. The course combines running with water, mud and recognisable Strong Viking obstacles such as Storm the Castle, Mud Trenches and the yellow SAGA obstacles. The organisation clearly presents the event as a personal challenge rather than a pure speed race: obstacles have a walk-by option, while the longer distances still demand real strength and endurance. That means a family can start accessibly on 4 km, while an experienced obstacle runner can take on a tough marathon distance on the same day.
