The BOUWRUN is a team race for professionals from the construction industry, starting and finishing at the Sport Vlaanderen estate in Hofstade. A team consists of three runners and builds up the race as it goes: the first runner sets off alone, the second joins after a 3 kilometre lap, and the third comes in for the final lap, so the whole team crosses the finish line together. That is why the distances of 3, 6 and 9 kilometres all belong to one and the same team event, and why coordination counts just as much as running pace. The effort is followed by a walking dinner, where colleagues, clients and partners from the sector meet up. A fixed amount from every registration also goes to a good cause.
