Vechtloop Weesp

About the race

The Vechtloop is the annual race of Weesp and has been going for over forty years, which makes it one of the fixtures on the North Holland calendar. The programme offers the 5 and the 10 kilometres, starting in the late morning. The course follows the Vecht, the river that gives the little town its character and the race its name. The event is carried entirely by volunteers: from the cloakroom and the fruit along the route to the medals at the finish and the setting up and taking down of the grounds. Every finisher receives a medal and times are officially recorded.
