The Tulpenloop Swifterbant is a recreational spring run through the Rivierduingebied between Swifterbant and Lelystad. The start is at De Kalverschuur on Visvijverweg, in the middle of Flevoland's open polder landscape. Participants choose between 5.5 and 10 km on quiet roads and cycle paths past tulip fields, farmland and wide horizons. The event is organised by the Natuur- en Milieucoöperatie Rivierduingebied together with AV Flevo Delta. It is not built around official timing or rankings, but around enjoying a run during tulip season. After the finish, each participant receives a bunch of tulips, giving the event a clear local identity.
