Devil's Trail Netl-Kraggenburg is a trail weekend in and around Netl Park in the Noordoostpolder, where the Zuiderzee lay at the start of the twentieth century and dense woods, flower-rich grassland and streams now stand. It opens the evening before with the NightTrail over 5 or 10 kilometres through the park landscape. The next day the longer trails follow: first the 30 kilometres, which crosses the Waterloopbos national monument — a historic open-air laboratory in polder woodland — then the 15 kilometres through the Voorsterbos, a KidsTrail and finally the 9 kilometres across the Netl grounds themselves. Those grounds cover some ninety football pitches, with artworks set among the nature. All of it lies below sea level.
