The Triathlon Anna Paulowna is a quarter triathlon in the northern tip of North Holland, with a history of more than forty editions. The distances are one kilometre of open water swimming, forty kilometres of cycling and ten kilometres of running. The swim starts in the harbour of 't Oude Veer, after which the course heads towards Breezand; the finish is on the Ceresplein. The race begins in the early afternoon, so the first finishers come in around three o'clock. Alongside individual entry there is a trio format, in which three participants each take on one discipline — a setup companies also use to enter as a team.
