Schagen City Run is a local running and walking event in the heart of Schagen, with the Markt as its hub and spectators close to the course. On 10 May 2026 the programme included the Van der Voort Cityrun over 5 and 10 km, the Business Run, the SKRS Kids Run and the ALS City Walk over 5, 10 and 15 km. The kids’ races stay on and around the Markt, while the 5 and 10 km routes run through the centre and surrounding streets. With support for Stichting ALS, number pickup through Sport2000 or Hotel Marktstad and attention to adaptive sport, it feels like an accessible town race day that still has a proper competitive edge.
