Trail du Viroin is a genuine nature trail race starting from the communal park in Nismes, within the municipality of Viroinval. On Saturday 13 June 2026, four distances are scheduled: the 10 km Trail Sprint at 10:30, the 21 km Trail Court at 09:45, and both the 35 km Trail Long and 44 km Trail Marathon at 09:00. The routes run through the Entre-Sambre-et-Meuse National Park and the Viroin-Hermeton Natural Park, with limestone plateaus, nature reserves, forest and demanding climbs as recurring ingredients. The shortest distance remains approachable, while the longer formats clearly require more trail experience and self-sufficiency. Starting in Nismes gives the event a strong local base, and the area around Fondry des Chiens and the Viroin valley gives the race its own identity.
