20km de la Principauté de Chimay

About the race

The 20 km de la Principauté de Chimay is a nature-focused race put on by ASBL J.A.C.O. through the woods, the castle park and the area around the lake of Virelles. There are three timed distances — 7, 15 and 20 kilometres — which all set off together at two in the afternoon. Walkers have a programme of their own over 5 and 10 kilometres with a free start window between half past eight and three, for which you register on site only. Children run their own distances of 200, 600 and 1200 metres at quarter past one. Every route carries several refreshment stations. Because the course runs largely through forest and along water, this feels more like a nature run than a street race.
