STYREKX Fitness Race Mechelen

About the race

The STYREKX Fitness Race is held indoors, in the Nekkerhal at Mechelen. The format is ten running laps with a workout station after each one. In Light those laps are 400 metres, making four kilometres in total; in Regular and Xtreme they are 800 metres, so eight kilometres. The difference between those two lies not in the distance but in the weight and severity of the exercises. For young athletes there are two categories of their own: six laps of 400 metres for eight to eleven year olds, eight laps for twelve to fifteen. Because everything happens in one hall, the whole field stays visible throughout.
