STYREKX Ghent is an indoor fitness race at Flanders Expo, where running and functional strength alternate in a fixed rhythm. The format has ten workout stations with a running lap between each. In Light those laps are 400 metres, in Regular and Xtreme 800 metres, with Xtreme using heavier weights. Younger athletes have the Youngsters format: six stations and six 400-metre laps for ages eight to eleven, eight stations and eight laps for ages twelve to fifteen. The event spans two days. The build inside the exhibition hall gives the race an arena feel, with spectators close to the track and the stations laid out side by side.
