HYROX Gent

About the race

HYROX Gent is an indoor fitness race at Flanders Expo, where running and functional workouts alternate in a fixed format. Competitors cover a kilometre eight times and work through eight workout stations in between, so endurance, strength and pacing all count equally. The event spreads across four race days, with separate divisions for individual athletes, the Pro class, doubles, relay teams of four and adaptive athletes. Everyone is assigned a personal start time in advance, and the waves run from early morning until late in the evening. The build inside the exhibition hall gives the race an arena feel: spectators watch from close by, times are recorded along the way, and a finish zone and recovery zone wait beyond the line.
