Planet Group Ekiden Gent

About the race

At the Planet Group Ekiden Gent, teams of six runners together run the full marathon distance of 42.195 km in relay. The event takes place around the Wouter Weylandt Stadion in Ghent and is popular as a team-building activity; the 2026 edition had 1,500 runners at the start. In 2027 the Ekiden falls a week earlier than usual, because the Easter holidays start early. Team registration runs from 1 December to 28 February; anyone wanting a personalised race number should register early.
