Sofico Gent Marathon

About the race

The Sofico Gent Marathon celebrates its tenth edition in 2027 and calls itself the country's most popular spring marathon. Start and finish are at Sport Vlaanderen Gent on Zuiderlaan: you set off right next to the Topsporthal and finish on the indoor track. The course runs through the historic city centre and even through the football stadium of KAA Gent. Besides the marathon there is a half marathon, with chip timing. Organiser Golazo links the event to Sportaround and Kom op tegen Kanker, and schoolchildren get their own Mini-Marathon a few days beforehand.
