Bashir's Run

About the race

Bashir's Run, in full Runners' Lab Bashir's Run, is the half marathon in Gentbrugge named after marathon runner Bashir Abdi, who grew up there and improved the Belgian half marathon record on this course in 2023. The race has already hosted the Belgian half marathon championship on several occasions. At the previous edition you could choose between 5 km, 10 km and the half marathon. There's also a focus on elite runners. Proceeds go to Sportaround vzw, which among other things supports a youth centre in Ethiopia. Registration opens at the end of September.
