The Stratenloop Tuitjenhorn is the oldest street race in North Holland and fills the village on a Saturday in June with runners from four years old to well into their sixties. The afternoon opens with youth races by age group, followed by the juniors and then the competitive 5 and 10 kilometre races. The course is a loop through the centre that also passes through the Blanckendaell animal park; the five kilometres covers that loop twice, the ten kilometres four times. The start and finish are at Café De Vriendschap on Dorpsstraat, where race numbers are also collected and where the evening turns into a party after the prize-giving. Qualified first aiders are stationed at the start and finish.
