PCC Maalwater Run & Walk

About the race

The PCC Maalwater Run & Walk sets off, as it always has, from the AV Trias grounds on Het Maalwater in Heiloo. The programme runs from very small to serious: a 300-metre Bambini Run, then 1, 2 and 4 kilometres, and as the longest distance the 10 kilometres, which goes off first of the day. The routes run through Heiloo itself, with a loop into the surrounding countryside on the longer distances. The walking tours the event offered for years have since been taken off the programme; what remains is a running day with a pronounced school and village character. Rotary Club Heiloo, AV Trias and the neighbourhood sports coaches organise it together, with the proceeds going to local sporting causes.
