Sloot'n Run Schuinesloot

About the race

The Sloot'n Run is the obstacle race of Schuinesloot and forms part of the village festival week, with the ice rink on Schuineslootweg as its base. The full route is about seven and a half kilometres; those who want more run it twice for fifteen kilometres, and children have their own route of some four kilometres. No times are recorded on purpose: this is a run for the fun of it. Participants set off in groups of fifty, with a new start every ten minutes. Water plays a big part, so swimming certificate A is compulsory and the youngest run with an adult. Afterwards there is a hot shower, and the funfair on the festival grounds carries on.
