RunForestRun VAM is a time-based ultratrail on the VAM Berg near Wijster, the highest hill in Drenthe. On Saturday 30 May 2026, participants run or hike as many laps as possible on an unpaved 3.3 km course with about 100 metres of elevation gain per lap. There are solo formats of 4, 8 and 12 hours, plus a VAM|12 relay for teams of up to two people. The winner is the person or team completing the most laps within the chosen time, so smart pacing matters at least as much as pure speed. With extensive aid, timing and a compact loop on the hill, this is a small-scale but demanding trail challenge for runners and hikers.
