About the race

RunForestRun Dwingelderveld is a small-scale trail run in the middle of the Dwingelderveld, a vast wet heathland with an almost undisturbed horizon. The route crosses gently rolling heath, passes pools and meres and runs through woodland and drift sand, which makes every distance feel like a nature adventure. There is a choice of 15, 26 and 44 kilometres, from a solid day outdoors to a genuine ultra. Start and finish are at Camping Torentjeshoek in Dwingeloo, giving the event a relaxed base that suits the quiet, personal set-up this series is known for. Based on participant numbers, a donation also goes to a nature project in the area the trail passes through.
