Run2Day Vlinderloop

About the race

The Vlinderloop is Loopgroep Houten's time-trial run and is held nine times a year: every second Saturday of the month, from September through May. All distances set off together at half past eleven from the Jaagpad by sportcomplex De Meerpaal, finishing on the Veerwagenweg between the hockey pitches. You choose from 4.4, 10.7, 14.8 or 21.1 kilometres; the short route stays on one side of the A27, the longer ones combine one or two big loops through the countryside, along the Amsterdam-Rijnkanaal and around Heemstede castle. The course is not closed off, so you share the road with other traffic. Along the way there are arrow signs, marshals from the running group, water points and first aid.
