The Putten Power Run is the running event in the centre of Putten, held on the Friday after Ascension Day, with start and finish around the Kerkplein and Fontanusplein. The course cuts straight through the centre and on into the Putterbos: the 5 kilometres is a single loop, the 10 kilometres covers that loop twice. Alongside them are kids' runs of 750 and 2300 metres, a G-Run of 750 metres and business runs, so the field stretches from primary-school age to serious racers. The square around the start fills up with a DJ, food stalls, children's activities and a business area. That makes the Putten Power Run less a bare race than a busy village evening, where families, teams and fast runners meet on the same square.
