Nijkerk City Trail

About the race

The Nijkerk City Trail is an urban trail through and around the centre of Nijkerk, starting and finishing on the Molenplein. The route avoids the ordinary road: you run up staircases, through parks, along the brook and the harbour, down alleyways and straight through businesses and historic buildings you would not normally enter. There are distances of roughly 6, 9 and 12 kilometres, set off in colour-coded waves, and earlier in the afternoon a FamilyRun of about 3 kilometres. The field is capped at two thousand runners. Every finisher receives a wooden medal, and the event supports the local youth fund for sport and culture.
