The Oranjeloop Krabbendijke is an evening race organised by the local Oranjevereniging, starting and finishing at the De Meiboom village hall on the Kerkpolder. The programme opens with a 1400-metre kids' run, after which the 5 and 10 kilometres head out onto a fully signposted course in and around Krabbendijke. The organisers provide official timing, marshals along the way and a place to leave bags. There is no late entry on race day for the 5 and 10 kilometres, so taking part means signing up in advance; the kids' run deliberately keeps the threshold low. After the finish the village hall stays the focal point, where runners and spectators linger a while. It remains a manageable, easy-going village race in the run-up to King's Day.
