OVET Triathlon Terneuzen is the triathlon weekend organised by Stichting Triathlon Terneuzen at the Otheense Kreek. The race keeps the format compact and easy to follow: a water start in the creek, a 500 metre swim loop, 21.5 km bike laps towards the Margarethapolder and a run along the water over 4.7 or 9.3 km. The main events are the quarter triathlon and the eighth triathlon, with the shorter distance also available for duos and trios. The wider weekend also includes a youth run-bike-run and the Otheense Kreek swim. That keeps the event accessible without losing its sporting edge: racing solo works well, but starting with friends, family or colleagues fits Terneuzen just as naturally.
