The Zakloop is a non-competitive race through the Zak van Zuid-Beveland, held every last Sunday of November, starting and finishing on the village square in Nisse. The Grote Zakloop is a half marathon of exactly 21.1 kilometres: one large loop over the flower dykes, with a small extra loop to make the distance precise. The Kleine Zakloop measures 7.3 kilometres through the same landscape, and for children up to thirteen there is the Mini Zakloop of 2.1 kilometres, partly unpaved. The half marathon has aid stations at 5, 9 and 16 kilometres, with fruit at the last one; water and bouillon wait at the finish. The first edition in 2000 drew 55 participants; today there are several hundred on each distance.
