The Oostermaetloop is a winter cross-country race in Lettele, in the Salland region, with the De Spil community centre on the Sportweg as start and finish. The course runs through the nature reserve and estate of De Oostermaet: mostly unpaved, with tree-lined lanes, rhododendrons and, in wet spells, a fair amount of mud. The afternoon starts with the youth — first 1 kilometre, free of charge, then 2 kilometres — after which the 5 and the 10 kilometres follow. Late entry is possible until shortly before each start, so you can still decide on the day itself. The race is part of the Salland cross-country series and has a distinct village feel, with the community centre as the gathering point for runners and spectators.
