The Onstwedder Omloop is a Monday evening race held during the festival week of Onstwedde in Groningen. The course is a 2.5-kilometre loop in and around the village that you cover once, twice, three or four times, giving four distances from 2.5 to 10 kilometres. It is a timed performance run aimed explicitly at beginners as well as experienced runners, and that short base lap makes the step to a first race a small one. Race numbers are collected in the canteen of the MFA De Bast community centre, where you can also still enter shortly before the start. The race is organised by the local running club.
