The Midzomermarathon Apeldoorn is an evening race around the longest day of the year, starting and finishing at Sportpark Orderbos on the edge of the Veluwe. The course runs along wooded paths, quiet country roads and characteristic Veluwe landscapes, with feed stations and clear signage along the way. The programme offers the Ronde Orderbos of 7.5 kilometres, the 14 kilometres, the half marathon and the 27.5 kilometres, each with its own cut-off time. The longest distances set off first in the early evening, with the shorter loops following; thanks to the long light evening, almost everyone finishes in daylight. Changing rooms with showers are available at the adjacent sports club.
