Major Obstacle Run

About the race

The Major Obstacle Run is held in the Geestmerambacht recreation area near Langedijk, with seventy-nine obstacles in total spread across the courses. There are two distances for adults from age sixteen, 6 and 12 kilometres, and alongside them a Family Run over 3 or 6 kilometres that may be run from age six. The route alternates water features, loose sand, muddy sections and a bumpy mountain bike track. Among the fixed obstacles are the Lord of the Rings, a Ninja Water Walk, a Mud Crawl and a three-metre Splash Jump. You can enter individually or as a team; because of the sheer number of obstacles, cooperation counts as heavily as fitness on the longer distance.
