Koning van Spanje Trail is a trail weekend based in Gulpen, in the rolling hills of South Limburg. From the start and finish area at Parkeerplaats Oudegats, the routes take runners over the well-known Koning van Spanje climb, through South Limburg and at times across into Belgium. The programme ranges from short kids’ trails and accessible distances to GPS-based ultras and the three-day Ultimate combination. Guided hikes sit alongside the running events, making the weekend both a serious classic for experienced trail runners and an inviting way to discover the hills on unpaved paths.
