About the race

The Drielandenpunt Trail sets off from Vaals and crosses the borders of the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany: every route touches all three countries. The weekend opens on Saturday with the soep edition over 18 kilometres and 590 metres of climbing, after which the walkers head out over 10 or 18 kilometres. Sunday brings the running distances: 10 kilometres with 310 metres of climbing, 23 kilometres with 760, 32 kilometres with 1090 and a 50-kilometre ultra with 1630 metres. The organisers describe the course as a combination of technical and easily runnable sections. There are no river crossings, but a phone, identity document and your own cup are compulsory.
