The KardingeRun is the obstacle run of the Kardinge recreation area in Groningen, with thirty-seven obstacles spread over four distances of 4, 7.5, 12 and 15 kilometres. Water and mud come with it, as does the Kardingebult hill, and the obstacles themselves ask more than pressing on: hanging one-handed from a cable car over the water, climbing a wall and jumping to a rope, and a belly slide to the finish. Starts go in waves, at most seventy-five people every ten minutes, which keeps the course manageable. Children from six run the FamilieRun together with an adult, and companies have a series of their own.
