The Kamerikse Weteringloop is a village race in the Groene Hart, with the start, finish, registration desk and prize-giving all on a single square beside the school on the Overstek. The afternoon opens with three youth distances of 700, 1000 and 1700 metres, rising by age group. The half marathon then sets off, and only an hour or so later come the 5 and 10 kilometres — so the longest distance leaves first here. The routes run through the villages of Kamerik and Kanis and along the Kamerik drainage canal, straight across the polder landscape. Reusable cups are used at the drink stations and collected afterwards for the following year.
