De Loop van Leidsche Rijn is a broad running and walking event in Utrecht's Máximapark. The main distances are 5, 10 and 15 kilometres through the park, but the day is bigger than those three races: children run the gro-up Wurmpie and Lint-Wurm distances from 500 metres to 3 kilometres, the Abrona'G'Loop offers 1 and 2 kilometres, and walkers can choose 10, 15 or 20 kilometres over the Roman Limes path and green parts of Leidsche Rijn. That makes the event clearly built for a whole district, not only for fast runners. The finish atmosphere, the different start waves and the park setting make it an accessible Sunday for families, recreational participants and runners aiming for a focused 5, 10 or 15 kilometres.
