The IJsselsteinloop is the annual running day of IJsselstein, traditionally on the Saturday before Whitsun, with the Overtoom by the Fulcotheater as the finish area. The programme has three main distances — 5 kilometres, 10 kilometres and the half marathon — each with a separate men's and women's classification, plus youth runs for the primary school years. The half marathon and the 10 kilometres start together, divided into pens by expected finishing time, so that the fast and the steady parts of the field do not get in each other's way. Bibs are collected on the Friday evening or the Saturday morning in front of the theatre, where there are also changing rooms and a guarded cloakroom afterwards.
