HYROX Tuitjenhorn is a fitness race in the Harenkarspelhal on the Oostwal, put together by Sportcentrum Maak Me Fit with Next Step Training, the village's affiliated official HYROX gym. The format is fixed: eight one-kilometre runs, each followed by a strength station. So it is not about running pace alone but about how much of yourself is left after each station. Because everything happens indoors in the sports hall, the race stays compact and the crowd sits right on top of the competitors. Alongside the regular race there is a youth edition, so younger athletes can take on the same format in an adapted form.
