HYROX Rotterdam is an indoor race at Rotterdam Ahoy spread over several days. The format is fixed worldwide: eight one-kilometre runs, each followed by a workout station. In order those are SkiErg, sled push, sled pull, burpee broad jumps, rowing, farmers carry, sandbag lunges and wall balls. This is therefore not a running race but a test of endurance, strength and above all pacing: run the first kilometres too hard and you pay for it at the sleds. You can enter solo in Open or Pro, in twos as Doubles or in fours as a Relay, and there are adaptive and corporate variants. The Pro divisions carry qualification places for the World Championships. The course sits inside the arena, so the crowd is right on top of it.
