The Hulckesteijnloop is an evening race at Landgoed Energy Up on the Wielseweg near Zeewolde. There are four distances: 5, 7, 10 and 14 kilometres, with the two longest setting off at seven o'clock and the shorter ones twenty minutes later. The course mixes paved paths with forest ground and leads through the Hulkestein woods and along the Nijkerkernauw. Because the race falls on a Wednesday evening in September, participants cover the closing kilometres with the sun low over the water. The event is organised by Day One Events. Alongside the individual results there is a company classification, and every finisher receives a pack including photographs of the finish.
