The Hoek Run is the sporting opening of d'Oekse Feesten in Hoek, in the heart of Zeeuws-Vlaanderen. The day starts with a free 750-metre Kids Run for children, then runners choose the main distances advertised as 4, 8 and 12 km. Race-number pickup and same-day registration go through Café de Molenhoek, and the prize-giving ties in with the festival tent, so the race is embedded in the village festival from the start. The event keeps the atmosphere loose and local, while the programme is clear enough for those who want to run with focus.
