The Haastrechtloop is a performance run from Concordiaplein in the centre of Haastrecht. The fourteenth edition is scheduled for 12 June 2026, with a 1 km kidsrun in the afternoon followed by 5 km and 10 km races for runners from 10 and 12 years old respectively. The course gives the event its character: the 5 km includes a short grass section and otherwise paved cycle paths, while the 10 km stays entirely on cycle paths past Haastrecht's nature, the Hoge Boezem, the polders, the mill and Bisdom van Vliet. Electronic timing, prizes per distance and the annual charity contribution keep the race competitive, but the atmosphere remains local and accessible: running fast is welcome, finishing matters just as much.
