Geinloop Driemond is a classic local running and walking event around the Gein. The start and finish are at sports hall MatchZO in Driemond, from where the routes head into the nature area towards Abcoude. The programme combines a kids’ run, 5 kilometres, 10 kilometres, a 10-mile race and an 8.3-kilometre walk. The 5K stays on Gein Noord; the longer distances let runners experience both banks. With timing, aid stations on the longer distances and a free shuttle from Gaasperplas, the Geinloop feels village-based but well organised.
