The Down Under Obstacle Run is held at Parque West in Utrecht and spreads across two days. The base course of 6 kilometres carries at least twenty-five different obstacles, partly renewed for every edition. Anyone with experience of obstacle races, survival runs or mud runs picks the 9 kilometres. There is also the 3-kilometre Family Run, on which children from six to twelve take part alongside an adult. Crew are stationed at every obstacle, and the lifeguard brigade keeps watch at the water hurdles. That makes the event suitable both for seasoned obstacle runners and for anyone getting into the mud for the first time.
