Dikke Tien Runn is a village running event in Feerwerd, starting at the football pitches on Valgeweg. The race deliberately keeps things simple: 5 and 10 kilometres through Middag Humsterland, plus a kids’ run of about one kilometre on the football field. That keeps it accessible for families and local runners, while still appealing to anyone chasing a sharp 5K or 10K. Part of the entry fee goes toward sports and play equipment for primary schools in Garnwerd and Ezinge, keeping the event firmly rooted in the villages around Feerwerd.
